Cocoa Island is a paradise, a Garden of Eden, a Dream Island.
Once discovered by the German photographer Eric Klemm who was there to shoot a Playboy editorial, it is now part of the COMO Group.
Cocoa Island is an intimate private Maldives island resort with 33 overwater suites allowing you to slip right into the turquoise lagoon to explore an exceptional house reef. Encircled with powder white sand, the carefree, understated luxury experience includes holistic wellness treatments at COMO Shambhala Retreat, South Indian-influenced cuisine and worldclass diving.
What we liked most about COCOA ISLAND:
- It provides the ultimate escape, a harmonious sanctuary for mind and body.
- The villas – shaped like dhonis (traditional Maldivian fishing boats).
- The yoga classes.
- The delicious restaurant with the most amazing breakfast menu.
- The small size – in 10 minutes you can walk from one end to the other.
- The exclusiveness, privacy and peacful atmosphere.
- The very friendly staff – due to the small size they know you and your preferences short after arrival.
- The incredible beautiful sunset colors.
This is the perfect romantic hideaway for couples who want to spend a lot of intimate togetherness – it almost feels like it is your very own private island: www.comohotels.com

The 5***** Widder Hotel could almost be a hamlet of a hotel. Nine historical former residences, many dating back to the Middle Ages, have been joined together to create an unusual hotel collaboration. The 42 rooms and 7 suites have emerged from this charming, luxurious labyrinth of a hotel one that many proclaim the best in all of Switzerland. We have rarely seen a place where old and new or better timeless beauty clash into a perfect symbiosis.
The well-known, cosy Widder Bar is the perfect place for a romantic date, listening to the sound of a piano player while sipping a well deserved whisky from their impressive range.
The Widder Hotel is in the centre of Zurich’s old town.
TAKE WITH YOU
Your fiancé. Your credit card. Time to enjoy life.
Money & Whisky.
Beautiful design classics and paintings.
Coming back to Sweden always feels like coming home for me. Meeting up with my beautiful sister in the middle of Stockholm even more.
We checked in at 5***** NOBIS HOTEL STOCKHOLM for a quick night. (Member of WHITE LINE HOTELS and DESIGN HOTELS)
Housed in 2 stylish 19th-century buildings on Norrmalmstorg Square, in the middle of Stockholm’s chic district Östermalm. Best things: relaxing sauna and steam room, clean Scandinavian Interior, free WiFi, friendly people and the fantastic location.
Restaurant Caina serves breakfast (we especially loved to eat Kalles Kaviar and eggs which reminded us of our childhoods spent in Sweden) and traditional Italian dishes based on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The Gold Bar offers drinks and brasserie-style food – the salad was delicious! All in all the perfect hotel for a shopping, party and indulging weekend in Stockholm with your sister or alikes.
Enjoy the rest of your summer, Tanja (for NECTAR & PULSE)

“In 2007 I lived in Hamburg and ever since I deeply fell in love with it. Coming back feels like meeting an old sailor friend with a blue white striped shirt, arms full of tattoos and exciting stories to tell. My heart danced while wandering around HafenCity the other day, living only a few meters away from where I used to work.” – Tanja
The 25 Hours Hotel Hafencity draws from the area’s rich maritime history in a radical re-imagining of a traditional seamen’s club, complete with 170 cabin-style suites, a rooftop sauna, Heimat restaurant, bar, art gallery, private wharf, and a conference room housed in a repurposed shipping container.
NECTAR & PULSE BEST OF:
THE ROOMS & STORY > Elements and materials from the shipbuilding industry are interpreted with a little wink, and spun together with some seaman’s yarns; 25 mariners from across the world tell their true stories of dangerous passages, romantic encounters, wild storms and painful farewells. The rooms’ anecdotic accessories and objects capture the adventures, which are told in full length in each of the lodge’s logbooks.
SAUNA > Even the strongest sea dogs and wild pirate brides need a little relaxation sometimes. The Harbor Sauna on the top floor even has an exit onto the roof to cool off and enjoy a view of HafenCity. Enjoy a typical Astra beer.
CLUB ROOM > Listen to some vinyl, have a cup of tea and play tablesoccer.
KIOSK > Buy some fresh magazines or books like: “Atlas der abgelegenen Inseln.”
